The
Community Advocate Program Services will host a Christmas Party for the needy. Activities
for the day will include serving meals and distributing gifts. Several volunteers are needed. For
additional information, go to the following web site: http://www.caplb.org.
This is an all day event (9:00 a.m.--8:00 p.m.). To sign up to volunteer at this wonderful event, call Mrs. Evelyn
Steele at (562) 313-9694. Volunteers will set up, serve meals, pass out gifts and clean up. You can select the hours
that you want to work. Teens wishing to volunteer will receive documentedvolunteer hours for their school records. Join Holy Helping Hands and help us bring
cheer to the less fortunate during this holiday season. Hope to see you there!

Helping Hands will be partnering with NCNW to host a Christmas Holiday Party at the VA Hospital in Westwood, CA.
(405 freeway at Wilshire Blvd.) We will be providing refreshments and gifts for the veterans in Bldg.
500. We will also play games with them and give away prizes. If you would like to either

2009 Upcoming Events
Save the Date Prayer Breakfast Fundraiser Speaker: Judge Mablean Ephriam
Date: March 21, 2009 Time: 10:00 a.m.--2:00
p.m. Location: Proud Bird Restaurant Los Angeles, CA Cost: $40.00
This fund raiser will be a joint venture between Holy Helping Hands and Cannon House non-profit organizations.
The proceeds will be used to fund the on-going programs of both organizations. The 2008 Holy Helping
Hands Honorees are Captain Sam Dacus and Captain James Hellmold of the Los Angeles Sheriff Department for their continuous
support of our organization. Vendors will be present at 9:00 a.m. with fabulous items to
purchase. There will also be a silent auction. Bring lots of spending money! Tickets are on sale now.
